built near a marble quarry, the city was also an important center in the past
with its famous sculpture school and for being one of the several cities that
was dedicated to Aphrodite, the goddess of love.
In Aphrodisias you can
see lot of structures made of marble such as Tetrapylon.It was a monumental
gateway that leaded entrance to the Temple of Aphrodite. Stadium of Aphrodisias
,was used for gladiatorial fights, chariot races, sporting, musical and
dramatic events.Of all the ancient cities in Anatolia,The Stadium of
Aphrodisias is one of the best preserved with a 30,000 spectator capacity. The
Temple of Aphrodite was the main attraction of the Ancient City of
Aphrodisias.The well-preserved Bouleuterion or Odeon (city council chambers),
looks like a small theater.Excavations uncovered eight larger-than-life marble
statues.Baths of Hadrian were built under Hadrian in the 2C AD.The Theatre of
the city was built in the second half of the first century B.C on the eastern
slope of the acropolis.The seating capacity was 8,000.Sebasteion, was a early
1st century AD shrine in which the emperor was worshipped.
After the ruins, we
can visit Aphrodisias Museum. Opened to visitors in 1979, the museum is near
the ancient city of Aphrodisias, and only the pieces taken out from the
excavations in Aphrodisias are exhibited. By the end of the year 1997, the
registered objects at the museum were 12.697 pieces.

Cleopatra's Pool) is another spot which is a must-see place in Pamukkale
Turkey..Up to your wish , you can swim in Antıque Pool. The Cleopatra Pool is
warmed by hot springs and mineral-rich.Before terraces we have a
visit to Hierapolis Archeology Museum.
Close to ancient city
,you visit Pamukkale(Cotton Castle).It was inspired by the foamy white hillside
created as a result of the sedimentation of hot calcareous water coming down
the cliff. The water is in calcium hydrocarbonate as it comes out of the spring
. When it gets in touch with the outside air , it cools down and the
precipitation settles down on the ground. The site is unique and has
exceptional beauty with the formation of shallow pools and sequences of
cascades down the slope.
Around 14:00 ,you are
going to have lunch in a local restaurant. After that , we drive to Kaklik Cave
which is on the way to airport.We know it as underground Pamukkale.Kaklik Cave
is one of the lesser known places among visitors in Denizli Turkey.Kaklik Cave
is usually referred as the Underground Pamukkale and it’s easy to understand
why.Kaklik Cave has the same travertine structure as Pamukkale.The difference,
however, it’s smaller in size and it’s inside a cave.The cave came to light
after the collapse of its roof. After opening to tourists in 2002, Kaklik Cave
started to earn visitor attraction.
